But where I work, everything comes down to delivery

Delivery before the end of the year

Everyone wants to declare victory in the current fiscal year

“End the year strong!” is the mantra

If you were to graph the delivery of projects throughout the entire year you would end up with a graph that looks like a hockey stick

Gradual number of projects delivered throughout the first three quarters of the year, then a significant increase in the number delivered in November and December

This can cause more than a little bit of stress

Now let me tell you a story…
