    Hi Tom,

Great posts about the connection of acknowledgement and emotional intelligence. There seems to be a definite link…

I actually did this a week ago. My friend, whose 32-year old daughter recently passed away, and I were talking on the phone. She and I were just sharing… I was listening and sympathizing with her recent tragic loss. She mentioned how grateful she was to have a friend like me and I shared that I was grateful for her friendship as well. I acknowledged that she was a great mother; she was comforted by this.  There is not only power in acknowledging others, but it makes both people appreciate and value each other, especially in this case.

    Hi Everyone,

My name is Kim Fields and I was first introduced to Grateful leadership from an IIL conference. I followed up that session by taking a Grateful Leadership class. I participated in the activities in that class and they really helped me understand the power of acknowledgement! I have enjoyed my association with Judy and her team and am happy to assist them with launching this site and initiative.

    Judy,

I really enjoyed this video! What a powerful way to acknowledge others through this organization, SoulPancake. It just reminds me of the small — often unspoken — ways that we should voice our gratefulness for others in our lives that have made beneficial deposits in us on our journey to become who we are.

    Kim
