I can’t thank you enough for the wealth of resource suggestions for my book – I will be pouring through them in the coming weeks and will most definitely reach out to share some ideas on how they might fit, and how best to reference them.  Unfortunately, I missed the Live Q&A session but very much looking forward to catching the next one in January and will keep an eye out for the date once it’s posted.  I do hope you are having wonderful Holiday Season filled with Peace and the Joy of Loved ones to share it with.

    All the best,

Hello.  I am very excited to be here, and to live in a time when the subject of Grateful Leadership is being discussed.  When I picked up a copy of the HBRs 10 Must Reads on Emotional Intelligence and read the article by Christine Porath and Christine Pearson on The Price of Incivility, I felt it resonate deeply with what I had personally experienced.  Years ago as a young manager making the mistakes of youth, and more recently on the receiving end of stressed out managers who choose to vent rather than consciously engage.  It was through these experiences, and finding books like the ones authored by Judith Umlas that I decided to make some conscious changes.  Proactively striving to find what people are doing right, reinforcing it through sincere acknowledgement, and building people up, is such a winning combination that just plain feels good.  Pair that with a current focus on Change Management and work becomes more than the next milestone, it strives for the next celebration of success.

My name is Shaundra Toy, and I am a PMP certified project manager working on custom solution development, from co-design to benefits harvesting throughout the supply chain.  I am also collaborating on a book on Change and Innovation.  If you have any stories you would like to share that illustrate how Grateful Leadership has impacted change initiatives, or the level of creativity and innovation, I would love to hear them and maybe even interview you for the book.
